To see hospitality recognised and celebrated for its contribution to Aotearoa, attracting fresh talent and generating sustainable returns for businesses and communities.
Hospitality New Zealand supports and improves the hospitality industry in Aotearoa New Zealand through advocacy, training, connection, and support.
We want to create a vibrant, sustainable and thriving hospitality sector that benefits businesses, employees, economies and communities.
We want to empower hospitality businesses with the knowledge, resources, and partnerships they need to succeed and contribute positively to their communities.
Hospitality New Zealand is the singular voice representing every segment of Aotearoa New Zealand’s hospitality sector including restaurants, cafes, accommodation providers, clubs, bars, and more.
Manaakitanga: We embrace hospitality's core values of care, respect, and generosity.
Ōhanga: We are committed to building a thriving and prosperous hospitality sector that benefits everyone.
Whanaungatanga: We foster strong relationships and partnerships within the industry.
Kaitiakitanga: We are responsible caretakers of our communities and the environment.
Hospitality New Zealand was established in 1902 as the United Licensed Victuallers, representing the interests of around 2,500 hospitality and commercial accommodation businesses. In 1958, it was renamed the Hotel Association of New Zealand, became the Hospitality Association of New Zealand (HANZ) in 1995, and was rebranded as Hospitality New Zealand in 2011.
